1930s wooden factory shelves

Wooden factory shelves, originally from the Atlas Foundry Works in Earls Colne, Essex (now converted to residential). The shelves are pine and retain their original painted finish. Many factories used this light blue colour on their fixtures and the inside surfaces are a classic red oxide colour, again used a lot in industry. The shelves are string and sturdy with central support brackets and four wooden braces at the back. There is a small wooden trim running on the front and sides flush with the bottom shelf. 181cm high x 126cm wide x 34cm deep. Then internal height between the shelves is 26.5cm apart from the top shelf at 26cm and the bottom shelfat 30.5cm.
