1930s foundry casting mould

A mould used in sand casting. This example was one of many salvaged from the Footprint Tools factory in Sheffield and would have been a mould for a piece of machinery in the factory. Pine construction with its original black paint. The mould has been mounted on a handmade steel frame with salvaged oak base. A wonderful sculptural object.27cm wide x 21cm deep x 39cm high
